Dollarama launches online store

Dollarama has launched its online store, offering a selection of some of its most popular consumable and general merchandise products by the full case, now available across Canada. This follows a successful 5-week pilot in the province of Québec.

The new online store has been launched to provide additional convenience to Dollarama customers—individuals and businesses alike—who wish to buy products in large quantities that may not be available in-store. Approximately 1,000 products, selected from the broader consumable and general merchandise offering, are now available for purchase through the online store by the full case only. Product categories include: cleaning, clothing, electronics, food, hardware, health and beauty, home, kitchen, office, party, pets and toys.

Online product pricing is the same as in-store. Products cannot be purchased online in individual or select quantities. Shipping fees apply to all online orders.

For a full selection of Dollarama’s broad assortment of consumable, general merchandise and seasonal products, or to purchase products individually or in select quantities, customers are encouraged to continue visiting their nearest Dollarama store. To find the Dollarama nearest you, please consult the store locator.

For those online spendaholics/shopaholics out there. You can now buy by the case!  So will this mean fewer trips to the Dollarama or will it mean you spend more money at Dollarama?  Maybe it means you pool your resources with your friends and family?

I think food and cleaning supplies would appeal to most. We did find 1L Pepsi for only 82 cents per unit.  There was a 7 case limit. There was an $18 flat fee shipping or Penguin Pick up.  Will be interesting to see how successful it is. Your thoughts?
